VOICE OF GLASS is an American rock band that has been active since 2002, featuring guitarist David Meek and vocalist Olya Meek as its core members. They co-founded VOICE OF GLASS alongside former drummer/vocalist Todor Mihailov, who departed from the band in 2006.
From the beginning, VOICE OF GLASS has been striving to create its own distinct blend of music, incorporating elements of gothic, metal, alternative, progressive, and hard rock. In the past, the band has performed at local shows in Bulgaria, Europe, while simultaneously navigating through several line-up changes in their rhythm section.
In early 2006, the group recorded its first single, ‘Valley’, at Millennium Studio in Sofia, Bulgaria, earning significant acclaim from local music critics and the scene. That same year, they also produced a music video for ‘Valley’, which gained traction on Bulgarian music channels MMTV and M2 during the summer. Later in December 2006, VOICE OF GLASS released a second single, ‘Song of Songs’, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Sound Design Studio in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. A music video for the single premiered on local music channels in early 2007, and ‘Song of Songs’ climbed to No. 5 in the international top 20 chart of MMTV, marking the beginning of an exciting journey of artistic expression and musical evolution for the band.
After a successful tour across major Bulgarian cities in the spring of 2007, VOICE OF GLASS embarked on an extensive tour in the United States for the summer-fall season. During this time, they recorded their first EP, ‘Making Me Real’, at the iconic Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.
In 2008, the band returned to the United States for a second tour, establishing the US as their permanent home base.
In 2011, VOICE OF GLASS released its first full-length album, 'The End of You', recorded and mixed at Fairview Recording Studio in the greater Chicago area, Illinois. This release culminated nearly a decade of successful musical endeavors for the band, after which VOICE OF GLASS decided to take a break.
In August 2022, VOICE OF GLASS made its comeback with a brand-new release, the three-track EP 'Hours', recorded, mixed, and mastered at Electric Shop Recording Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. Released in August under Morpheus Songs, the 'Hours' EP showcases the band's evolution.
In 2024, VOICE OF GLASS released three singles - 'Prodigal Son' (Morpheus Songs), 'Circles' (Morpheus Songs), and 'Shadow of a Dream' (Independent), followed by two new singles in 2025 - 'Henosis' and 'This World Is Broken', released under Rexius Records.
By 2026, VOICE OF GLASS unveiled its third EP, 'Epos' (Rexius Records), which received overwhelmingly positive reviews and critical acclaim.
